Prince Charles Denies He Is Out Of Touch - November 25, 2004

Following continuing accusations that Prince Charles is ‘out of touch’, after a private memo was leaked in which he suggested people should not rise above their station, the Royal Palace plans to announce a series of initiatives to demonstrate the Prince's closeness to the common British man and woman.

Arriving at Lambeth Palace Anglican Church yesterday morning to give a speech, the Prince of Wales stated, “I feel very connected to the people. Without them, I would have no one to rule when mummy dies.”

The Prince highlighted his new initiatives in the major speech, delivered to a gathering of bishops. A Royal spokesman for the Prince said afterwards, “Next to the Archbishop and the other bishops here today, the Prince looks positively fly.”

The speech, entitled, ‘Please, you can’t possibly think you’re better than me,’ was intended to demonstrate the Prince’s extreme closeness to his subjects. Towards the end of the speech, the Prince began to strut around backwards and forwards behind his podium, whilst waving his hands in the air and yelling “Yo, yo! Are you down with me, my homos?” He then moon-walked off to his right, before taking off his jacket, diving onto the floor, and then finishing up with a back spin.

The Prince is also planning to release an album under his new label, Royals With Attitude (RWA). The album will feature his own versions of what the Prince has called ‘The People’s Music by the Prince for the People.’ Initial releases are to include ‘My name is Charles, and I live on the Palace Floor’, '(I Can't Get No) Coronation' and ‘Swing Low, Horse Drawn Golden Chariot.
