What time does The Comedy Tree start?

The Comedy Tree's doors open at 8pm every Thursday and Saturday night. The show starts at about 8.45pm and usually finishes at 11pm.

How do I book tickets?

Booking tickets online is the easiest way. Simply choose the date you would like to attend and click 'Buy Tickets'. You can book tickets right up until the show starts.

How much are tickets?

General Admission tickets are £7 on Thursdays (in advance or on the door). Tickets for Saturdays are £10 in advance and £12 on the door. Booking is strongly recommended for Saturdays as shows often sell out.

Can I reserve seats?

No. All tickets are General Admission. We may pre-allocate seats for groups of 10 people or more, depending on how busy the show is.

Can I buy tickets over the phone?

You can buy General Admission, Comedy Beer & Burger, and Student tickets over the phone by calling Ticketweb on 08444 77 1000.

For group bookings of 10 tickets or more, you can book directly through us on 020 7736 1446.

Is there a booking fee?

The booking fee for tickets purchased online or by calling 08444 77 1000 is approximately 10% of the ticket cost. Group bookings made directly through us on 020 7736 1446, are subject to a 3% card transaction fee.

How do I pick up my tickets?

You will be sent a confirmation email with your booking reference number. Give your booking reference number and name on the door and you will be issued your tickets.

How can I use an Activity Superstore voucher to book tickets?

Simply email us with your name, the voucher reference number and the date of the show you would like to attend.

Can I get food at the venue?

Yes. Wahoo Bar serves food upstairs in the main pub area. Menu details are available here. We offer a Comedy, Beer & Burger ticket for £10.95 on Thursdays and £15 on Saturday - see our Show & Dinner page.

Do you offer concessions?

The Comedy Tree offers concessions for students but a valid student ID must be presented on the door. Student tickets are £4 on Thursdays and £6 on Saturdays.

Are tickets refundable?

Once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned as per our Terms and Conditions. If an event is rescheduled or cancelled, you will be notified by phone or email. For rescheduled events, customers will be offered tickets of equivalent value. For cancelled events, customers will be offered tickets to alternative events (subject to availability).

Is there a discount for large group bookings?

We cannot offer group discounts as our ticket prices are extremely competitive and offer excellent value for money.

How can I arrange for my group to sit together?

By arriving as early as possible. The doors open at 8pm and the show starts at about 8.45pm.

If I am late will you let me into the show?

Yes we will, however we strongly advise that you arrive before the show starts, in order to get a good seat.

Is there a dress code for The Comedy Tree?

There is no dress code for the show although smart casual dress is suggested.

Do you have a cloakroom?

The venue does not operate a cloak room.

Is there a door policy for The Comedy Tree?

We can not admit anyone under 18 years of age because of license conditions. Proof of age will be required for anyone who appears under 18. We reserve the right to refuse admission if we believe a person is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In these circumstances we will not refund tickets.

Do you have disabled access?

The venue does not have disabled access to the basement bar where the show is hosted.

Can I come to a show for my hen or stag party?

The Comedy Tree is a relatively small and intimate comedy venue which is not suited to hen or stag nights.

Is there a code of conduct?

A code of conduct applies to all customers to ensure that everyone can listen to, and enjoy, the show. Talking or disruptive behaviour is not permitted during the performance. Behaviour likely to cause disruption or nuisance may result in the responsible parties being asked to leave the venue.

Is heckling allowed?

Not really. Although some people think heckling is a part of live comedy, it can quickly become tiresome for other members of the audience and the performers. If an audience member persistently interrupts a performer or if the heckling is offensive, we will take action to put a stop to it. In most cases this will firstly be a polite request for the offender to stop their heckling.

What happens when the show is over?

After the show, all ticket holders are allowed to stay upstairs at Wahoo Bar until closing time.

How do I get an open spot or perform at The Comedy Tree?

The Comedy Tree does not host open spots, but offers 'try-out' spots for experienced comedians hoping to get booked for a full spot at the club. Interested comics must email their CV with experience, references and internet video links to this email address.

Where can I park at the venue?

Street parking is available around the venue, off Putney High Street and along Lower Richmond Road, and is free after 6.30pm.
